10 Months of French Flavors - Breakfast and Lunch in Los Angeles, the French Way

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 10 months since we first opened the doors to Délices du Chef, our little corner of France right here in Los Angeles.

After years of working the farmers’ markets, meeting people one pastry at a time, and dreaming of a place where we could share our full vision of French hospitality, opening a restaurant felt like the natural next step. But truthfully? It felt like a leap of faith, too.



Would people come? Would they understand what we wanted to create — not just a meal, but an experience? A moment of pause, of warmth, of real connection over beautiful food?


The answer, thankfully, has been yes.


Breakfast and lunch in Los Angeles - the French Way

In these past months, we’ve welcomed familiar faces from the markets and brand-new guests discovering us for the first time. Guests come in early for Breakfast and lunch in Los Angeles, enjoying buttery croissants, pain au chocolat, and a cappuccino or café au lait. Others join us later in the morning for brunch, pairing a glass of sparkling wine with eggs Benedict, quiche, or our signature avocado tartine.

By midday, our bistro becomes the perfect spot for a light French lunch in Los Angeles — fresh salads, warm sandwiches, or classics like French onion soup and boeuf bourguignon. And of course, afternoons call for coffee and something sweet, or even an aperitif with friends.

Every table has a story. A couple catching up over croissants. Friends sharing a midday quiche and wine. A family introducing their little one to their first true pain au chocolat. These are the moments we dreamed of when we imagined this place.


Why a Bistro? Why Now?

Opening our bistro was never about leaving the markets behind. It was about creating a space where we could fully share the heart of what we do. A place to sit, to savor, to slow down.

Our menu is simple, but it’s made with care, just as it would be back home in France. You’ll find dishes for Breakfast and lunch in Los Angeles rooted in French tradition, prepared with quality ingredients, and served with the warmth of family hospitality.

We wanted a space where people could feel transported — not to Paris or Bordeaux exactly, but to the kind of cozy, welcoming spots you find tucked away on side streets across France. A place where the food speaks for itself, and the people make you feel at home.
